2018 Mercedes SLC Exterior and Interior

The 2018 Mercedes SLC has a redesigned front fascia that looks sportier and more aggressive compared to the SLK. The SLC300 features a black-colored grille with a matching chrome trim and silver louver. On the other hand, the SLC43 features a diamond grille with a chrome finish. The night package adds a center 2018 Mercedes SLC ouver in high-gloss black. The grilles are flanked by new eyelid-looking headlights and LED running lights all in new headlight housings. Its hood is similar to that of the SLK; however, the front grille design makes the hood appear as if to fold over at the front which makes the grille and the hood appear as if they are a single piece. At the rear, the 2018 Mercedes SLC features LED taillights identical to those of the 2018 Mercedes SLC. However, a large section of the taillights has been replaced with a pair of slanted rectangles which serve as brake lights. An air vent adorns each corner of the rear. The vehicle’s body wraps around each vent to create a 3D look. Above the redesigned exhaust pipe is a reflector. The look is completed with a simple diffuser which is finished in chrome. The vehicles will ride on 17-inch or 18-inch wheels. The unique electrohydraulic vario-roof opens and closes at speeds not exceeding 25 mph to give occupants the sweet sensation of riding on the open as the wind gushes across their faces.

Many people considered the outgoing SLK cabin a bit cheap for a Mercedes, something the 2018 Mercedes SLC looks to change. The interior of the SLC is highly luxurious and stylish as you would expect of Mercedes. Its seats are upholstered in Nappa leather with a stylish contrast stitching. The seats are also perforated, heated and ventilated. 2017 Mercedes SL the vehicle’s 3-spoke steering wheel is also wrapped in leather. A 7-inch touch screen infotainment system has replaced the 5.8-inch on the outgoing SLK models. The new infotainment system is surrounded by 4-spoke vents. Similar vents are placed at the corners of its dashboard. The 2018 Mercedes SLC also features voice command, Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi, 2 USB ports, internet radio, DVD player, Smartphone integration and an SD card reader among others. In terms of safety, the vehicle features a rearview camera, stability and traction control, cruise control and Active Brake Assist. Also, standard on the SLC43 and optional on the SLC 300 are lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, park assist, forward collision mitigation and LED headlights which automatically adjust according to the lighting conditions of the road.
