Japanese car manufacturing company Honda Motor Co. Ltd has presented an updated version of the Honda Accord for the 2018 model year. The 2018 Honda Accord will be redesigned to get a more solid and modern look. This excellent midsized 4-door car continues with a few design changes while carrying forward several styling updates it received in the 2017 model year. Its major design highlights include a spacious and high-quality interior, an available coupe style, refined and efficient powertrains as well as exceptional ride balance and handling.
2018 Honda Accord Exterior
Changes on the exterior design of ninth generation of Honda Accord are on one hand, mostly cosmetic —a modified hood, grille and bumper, renewed lighting, redesigned tail lights. And on the other hand, the new Accord copies most of its body’s front end from the Acura TLX. The engine should be able to generate about 185 horsepower and 181 pound feet of torque. The engine in the Sport trim will have an output of 189 horsepower and 182 lb. feet of peak torque because it has less restrictive dual-exhaust boosts. More power is provided by the available 3.5 Liter turbocharged V6 engine generating 278 hp and 252 pound feet of torque. A 6-speed automatic will be available as the standard transmission system. Accelerating from 0-60 miles per hour takes 6.1 seconds with the Honda Accord Touring sedan and 7.8 seconds in the Honda Accord EX sedan.
2018 Honda Accord Price and Release Date
The 2018 Honda Accord will be available in late summer 2017 with basic configuration starting at around $20,000. The worthy competitors of the Honda Accord are the KIA Optima and Audi A4.
